Fog

Not knowing, rendered as landscape. Fog does not hide one thing; it removes distance, so what is close is unusually vivid and nothing further can be planned for. The reading is a period in which the next step is visible and the direction is not, which is a different state from being lost and is worth separating from it.

Where the reading comes from

The mist that separates worlds is standard in the folklore of thresholds, and clinically the fog dream tends to accompany decisions that have not been made rather than ones that have gone wrong.

Versions of the dream

Walking through it

Movement without visibility is the continuing form, and it is more hopeful than it feels.

Lifting

Fog clearing during the dream tends to arrive near the end of an unresolved period.

Something in it

A shape in the fog moves the dream toward the shadow reading rather than the not knowing one.
