Spider

The weaver, and therefore fate: a pattern spun out of the weaver's own body. Held as creative construction in one reading and as the devouring mother in the other, with the web as either the work or the trap.

Where the reading comes from

Arachne, Anansi and the Navajo Spider Woman are all weavers, and the Fates spin. The devouring half is straightforwardly entomological: in several species the female eats the male.

Were you watching the web, caught in it, or making it? Those are three different dreams that share one animal.
